Personal:

BSRools, the B stands for Brent and the S for Sylvie.  The Rools come from my personal running rools over the years: Never complain once the run starts, allways pick up the pace into the wind and always pick up the pace on a hill. If someone whines, pick up the pace.  We were running when running was not Kool.

This was a small race, only 90 runners.  Sylvie ran a 26:02 and was third in her division.

Well, depends on how I look at this race, a PR for Brent and Bracey, but, a PR Worst for Brent.  Today's run was more of a trial with the knee, did not stop and ran a consistent slow pace, hopefully, marathon pace.

Grand Prize: They drew my name, maybe a new car, no so, a one nigh stay at Holiday Inn and two tickets to the Symphony.  The Holiday Inn is the SLC Holiday Inn.  Well, we are going to find someone to give the Symphony tickets, any bloggers in Salt Lake interested?

We spend much of the morning chatting with Quiten about running, he is a real talker.

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Brent, great to see you racing. New Bracey PR, sweet! Is it helping much? Feel like you will be ok to run STGM?

From Bonnie on Sep 06, 2008 at 15:29:57

I am so glad to see you were able to run the whole way without pain!! This is great news Brent. Bracey deserves a few hundered commando points!

From Clay on Sep 06, 2008 at 15:36:22

Nice run Brent its good to see you are out pounding the pavement, even if its just for a 5K!

From MichelleL on Sep 06, 2008 at 16:20:44

Good job on your new PR (both of them-takes guts to race when you know it's not going to live up to the past). And you should put your miles in the marathon column if they are marathon pace.

Bionic Brent makes his debut... nice job on the race Brent and hope that Bracey becomes a great running buddy.

Not a fan of the symphony eh?

From Christi on Sep 06, 2008 at 22:48:20

So it was time for Greek Festival again, heh? You've done this in the past as I recall? 3rd place is mighty fine for Bracey!! Great job! (too bad you couldn't make better use of the grand prize)

From Jody on Sep 06, 2008 at 23:44:55

I like "Bionic Brent" Great job! Nice to know you will be able to make it SGM! Can't wait!

Great attitude, I love reading your reports and enteries. So is SG a go?

I love the symphony:) I have only gotted my husband to take me once for my birthday a long, long time ago. I would take them if you don't have any other takers.

Nice Job Brent (I will now call you BB for Bracey/Brent). So nice job BB. Keep setting your sights on little goals and celebrate the little victories. Keep at it (biking/walking/jogging/swimming whatever) and you will be happy.
